“Sandro I would be remiss if I did not send you a note of thanks for the use of your lovely villa and include accolades for the staff that make everything run flawlessly from sun up to sun down (and later). At our arrival, we were simply floored with the beauty and views from every corner of the estate. No stone was left unturned in the design and flow of the expansive buildings and grounds. The beauty was nice but the creme de la creme is the staff! Lucille, Anne, Chrissy and Mindy blended in just like family and by the time we left we know they are now part of our extended family. They really made a difference in every day with their smiles, big hugs, and wonderful cooking and housekeeping. I don’t think we ever had any needs because they had the uncanny ability to read the group and provide before anyone could even ask! They are certainly an asset to your villa. We loved using the boat and Roy was so accommodating taking us out to new places every time and narrating about the history of the island and the sites along the voyage. He took us to beautiful beaches and allowed us time to swim (and drink) in the crystal clear waters. We had one guest who is disabled and Roy was exceptional in helping her on and off the boat and making sure she was comfortable. And last but not least, Darlene … the epitome of professionalism. Darlene is a wealth of knowledge and provided us information on what we might want to do on the island, including shopping, dining, beaches, etc. She helped with transportation suggestions, provided restaurant menus, and anything else we asked about! She was immediately of assistance when one of our guests (me) was suffering with cough, slight temperature, etc and had a call into a doctor as soon as we hung up the phone. Luckily my cough and temperature subsided and I was able to participate with the group in the fun activities. Well this note got a little longer than I had anticipated but I guess there is so much to rave about. I will end it know with sincere thanks and best wishes for a very Happy New Year. Sincerely”

Dear Sandro,
We returned from Villa Susanna a few days ago and have taken some time to digest the wonderful week we spent on your magical property. Thanks to you and your lovely wife for creating such a paradise. Not a day went by when we did not notice a new architectural detail, piece of art, sculpture, plant or something unique over the acres of property.
The villa and experience exceeded our expectations. When you come in March you will see 2 review in your book. One in my native Afrikaans and one in English. They tell the story.
I must add some words about your magical staff: Ann in charge of the housekeeping and general house was a sweetheart who took amazing care of us and especially my Mother-in Law who was not so well. She displayed so much love and caring and did a magnificent job in making sure the house sparkled. She cares about Villa Susanna as if it were her own home.
Lucella – not just a cook but a maestro in the kitchen. She has the sweetest soul and smile and we fell in love with her. We used her probably 4 or 5 times for dinners and each meal was more superb than the last. These 2 ladies are the heartbeat of the experience and could not have been more warm or lovely. We miss them.
Captain Roy! We enjoyed the boat twice and he took great care of us. A man of few words but a beautiful and caring soul. He selected for us a fish from a local fisherman whilst on the water. Lucella cooked it on the bbq to perfection. What a highlight! Roy went out of his way to assist and guide us…and he is an amazing Captain.

Sandro – use of the boat is a very nice and kind addition/ We really loved seeing St Lucia from the water J Thank you!

Darlene – a joy to work with and so very nice & caring. A delightful and professional young lady.

Sandro – you have assembled a superb team at Villa Susanna. They are a huge part of the success and you can feel very proud in the way they look after your guests.

We spent a week at Villa Susanna at the end of March 2018. A group of 8 with 4 adults and 4 teens for Senior Year Spring Break. In summary… OUTSTANDING! I have no doubt that Villa Susanna will EXCEED your expectations. Browse the website. Absolutely beautiful. In fact, the villa is more spectacular than the photos can convey. The exterior design and construction details, the expanse, the interior design and the physical setting are all impeccable. Every detail has been addressed. Completely open air ( if you choose), first class furnishings, incredible views, great location, OUTDOOR SHOWERS (also if you choose), and a wonderful staff complete the experience. Absolutely more than we expected. Lucilla (Cook), Ann (Housekeeping), and Roy (Driver and Captain) truly made the week. Special THANKS to them.

Villa Susanna is a spectacular and very special place. This luxury villa consists of several different structures, including a main house, which has a stunning stone entryway, as well as a very large kitchen and beautiful large living room and dining area. This space is graced with a beautiful Italian touch, including fixtures made from the famous Murano glass. Most of it is open to the outside, so the lovely gardens and local plants are visible from just about everywhere. The villa is clearly designed to bring the outside in. The living area leads to a gorgeous pool and gazebo, just perfect for viewing the sunset. The rest of the villa consists of three separate buildings, one containing a beautiful master suite offering a sweeping view of the pool area and the ocean. The two other buildings, each with a gorgeous view, contain a master suite and separate twin room. These buildings are nestled into the hillside, making the villa an integral part of its environment, blending perfectly into the surrounding natural world. Villa Susanna is truly a beautiful paradise that is unlike any luxury accommodation I’ve ever experienced. It has a special feeling that makes guests feel relaxed and happy. You can tell that its construction was a labor of love, with every detail carefully planned. I highly recommend Villa Susanna to anyone wanting a luxurious tropical vacation. I was so sad to leave and will definitely go back.

Villa Susanna is one of the most beautiful caribbean locations I’ve ever seen in my life. It is the perfect place to cuddle yourself and your family in contact with nature , the ocean and the wonders of the Caribbean. We have just arrived back in New York after our stay in Villa Susanna with our friends and family from England. We made some comments in the visitors’ book, but I thought we should send you an email to let you know that we had a wonderful time, to convey our thanks, and most importantly to let you know that we think that you have created something quite remarkable and very special. We have stayed in many villas in many countries, but Villa Susanna stands apart.
The setting for Villa Susanna is of course spectacular, but the design of the Villa is superb. It maximizes the views, and the open plan living area in conjunction with the three separate suites allowed for our large group to never feel crowded. There are so many private and inviting places to sit and enjoy the weather, the hummingbirds, the view and the flowers. It was like having our own private hotel. So happy were we at the villa, that we hardly went anywhere – except for our two boat trips with Roy to snorkel on your magnificent motorboat.
We also highly commend your staff. Lucilla produced excellent lunches and dinners for us all, Anne and her assistants kept the place neat despite our number, Nina was very efficient and the rest of the staff were unobtrusive.
It was not just the design of the villa, but also its Balinese furnishings that we felt were wonderful. It was difficult not to feel as if we knew you, such was the insight the furnishings gave us into your taste. Particular things that impressed us included the huge and imposing dining table (what is the wood? How much does it weigh? How did you get it there?), the dramatic entryway glass chandelier (how on earth did you get that there in one piece?), the many interesting art objects and the stunning gardens and omnipresent flowers (the orchids sprouting from coconuts strapped to the palm trees, for example).
It was of course very hard to leave, and we all would love, dollars permitting, to go back there one day. Even if we never do, please know that it was a privilege to celebrate my birthday in such a place, and to receive our thanks for the opportunity to enjoy it. There are few places about which the word paradise can justifiably be used. Villa Susanna is one of those places.

I wanted to sincerely thank you both for our glorious stay in your beautiful home.
It is truly a magical place, with beautiful views, fabulous spaces to relax in, interesting and tasteful art work and gardens that shimmer with colour and wild life.
The attention to detail and care with which the Villa has been built and maintained is something I’m sure you’re very proud of so thank you again.
I also wanted to compliment you on how well the Villa is run with particular thanks to Ann and Lucilla who not only are lovely people but very professional and capable ladies as well.
Our rooms are always impeccably cleaned and Lucilla’s cooking has been of the highest standards.
We’ll all be very sad to end such an unforgettable holiday and leave St. Lucia and its friendly welcoming people and hope to return one day in the not too distant future.
